King Faisal Medical City to Add 600-Bed Oncology Wing

A Saudi Ministry of Health-funded expansion adds specialized oncology and cardiology capacity, part of the broader Vision 2030 healthcare cluster strategy.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed funding for a 600-bed expansion at King Faisal Medical City, focused on specialized oncology and cardiology units. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q3 and complete within 28 months.

The expansion is the first tranche of a SAR 14 billion cluster-hospital program announced in the 2026 state budget. It will make King Faisal the largest dedicated cancer-care facility in the Arabian Peninsula.
